AS A FASHION DESIGNER MY WORKS ARE HIGHLY FOCUSED ON EMBROIDERY AND DETAIL. MY STYLE IS INFLUENCED LOT BY VICTORIAN AND BAROQUE ERAS COMPLETING IT WITH ADDING BIT OF FUTURISTIC GLITCH AS SLIGHT FRICTION, DISTORTION ELEMENT USING CONTEMPORARY EMBROIDERY FASHION.
I VISUALISE MY PROJECTS AS A CONCEPT OF FORGOTTEN GARDEN THAT IS ORGANICALLY GROWN OUT OF ITS CONFINES AND BLOSSOMED INTO AN IMPRESSIONISTIC PAINTING.
MY APPROACH AS AN ARTIST IS ANCIENT YET ALIEN. ALMOST LIKE ITS NOTHING NEW IN THIS WORLD BUT WE FIND OUR UNIQUE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
AS A FORMER GLASS ART STUDENT I FEEL A STRONG CONNECTION TO THAT MATERIAL. CRYSTAL BEADS AND NATURAL GEMSTONES ARE INCREDIBLY SATISFYING TO WORK WITH. I TEND TO COMBINE WIDE PALLET OF COLOURS AND VARYING BEADS THAT DANCE, SHIMMER, AND BALANCE EACH OTHER OUT WITH EASE. A MYRIAD OF TONES AND TEXTURES ARE SUBTLY USED ALL THROUGHOUT TO CREATE A WEARABLE MOSAIC THAT SPARKLES AND BREATHES CHOST LIKE CATCHING THE LIGHT AND MOVEMENT.
TAMBOUR/LUNEVILLE EMBROIDERY IS IN MY MAIN FOCUS AS MY MOST WIDELY USED TECHNIQUE. IT ALLOWES TO STRUCTURALLY 3D "PAINT" SEQUINS AND BEADS TO GARMENTS WITH EXPRESSION AND PRECISION.
FEELING OF HEAVYLY BEADED GARMENT AS WEARABLE PIECE OF ART HUGGING BODY IS EXQUISITE.
